Tomorrow we’re getting a minor makeover. In honor of the last day that the doubles luge banner will be up… I ask you:

Doubles luge, why?

I mean really, why does there need to be a doubles luge? Mary Carillo describes the sport as a “bar bet gone wrong.” And let’s face it, that’s kiiind of what it looks like: ‘OH I know, I’m a man and I would like to lay down on top of another dude and hurtle down an ice track. Yes.’

Also lots of them are brothers or cousins, making the situation either better or worse depending on how you spin it.

And what are the commentators discussing? Well, for doubles luge it is really very incredibly important to be in sync with each other, especially during that awkward push-off situation…
